Jennifer Berman
Jennifer L. Berman is an attorney who has provided Human Resources Consulting services to organizations since 1995. In April, 2009, Jennifer established OAU Consulting, LLC to address HR issues challenging organizations in a new economy. Prior to 2009, Jennifer was the Managing Director for the HR Advisory & Training Services group of CBIZ; Leader of the HR Consulting practice for CBIZ in Chicago and the Director of HR Consulting Services for Friedman, Eisenstein, Raemer and Schwartz, LLP (FERS).
Jennifer has extensive experience consulting to middle market clients in a wide range of industries, including healthcare, technology, publishing, manufacturing, banking and financial services. Jennifer’s HR expertise lies in a wide variety of areas including HR Audits/Assessments; HR Outsourcing; Organizational Development and Assessments; Employee/Management Training & Development; Employment Law Compliance; Workplace investigations; Employee and Management Counseling; Strategic Planning and Organizational Analysis; Diversity Initiatives; Policy and Handbook Development; Performance Management Design and Implementation; HR Process Design; Merger/Acquisition Consulting; Benefits Consulting and Communication; Compensation Plan Design; Job Description Systems; Retention Strategies Consulting; Workforce and Succession Planning; and HR System Selection and Implementation.
Jennifer received her law degree from DePaul University College of Law and her undergraduate degree from Newcomb College of Tulane University. Jennifer was admitted to both the Illinois and Federal bars in 1994 and received SPHR certification in 2001. Jennifer has been a featured speaker, commentator and panelist for national, regional and local associations, organizations and publications including MSNBC, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, WGN and the Chicago Tribune.
