Katie Moody
Katie Moody attended John Carroll University, where she graduated with a BA in economics in 1991, and The University of Chicago, where she earned an MBA with honors in finance and marketing in 1999. During her ten-year career in consulting with both Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) and The Boston Consulting Group, she worked on projects for Fortune 500 companies with a focus on information technology, growth strategy, cost reduction and post-merger integration. In addition, from 1996 – 2002, Katie was a Saturday docent at Lincoln Park Zoo, volunteering to educate the public about animal behavior and conservation.
In 2002, Katie decided to change direction to allow her to more actively participate in parenting her two daughters, now aged 10 and 7. She left her full time consulting career and worked part time at NorthStar Advisory Services while her children were young. During this period, she also began to consider following her lifelong interest in animals and turning it into a career. In 2009, she enrolled in the CanineLink Training and Behavior Academy.
After completing her studies, she became a trainer with AnimalSense Canine Behavior and Training and currently leads group classes and provides private, in-home training. She is thrilled to now have the additional opportunity to blend her interests in animal behavior and consulting by becoming a part of CanineLink.
Katie lives in Oak Park with her husband, two daughters and a menagerie of pets.
