Name: Belgian Malinois
AKC classification: Herding Group
The breed takes it name from the city of Mechelen in Belgium (in French, Malines).
A Belgian Malinois named Cairo accompanied the US Navy SEAL Team Six on the raid at the Bin Laden compound in Abbottabad during Operation Neptune Spear in May 2011.
