Breed name: Pug

According to the American Kennel Club, the Pug is one of the oldest breeds of dogs (dating back to at least 400 B.C.)
China is the earliest known source for Pugs; they were popular pets in the Buddhist monasteries in Tibet.
In the sixteenth century, Pugs were brought from China to Europe, where they were popularized by the royal families of the Netherlands and United Kingdom.
